How it Goes

Pre-event Planning

  • Collaborate with the Global Village Foundation, and the government early childhood under schools to coordinate the event logistics, date, and activities.
  • Identify the specific needs and interests of the students to tailor the playful learning experience accordingly.
  • Organize a training session for teachers to familiarize them with the playful learning approach, emphasizing its benefits and implementation.

Event day

  • Set up different activity stations within the school premises, each focusing on a particular aspect of playful learning. Examples could include interactive games, hands-on experiments, creative arts, and teamwork activities.
  • Provide the teachers with kits of playful learning materials and resources, including toys, art supplies, educational games, and puzzles.
  • Divide the students into smaller groups and rotate them through the activity stations, ensuring they have a chance to engage in a variety of play-based learning experiences.
  • Facilitate the activities and encourage the students to actively participate, explore, and ask questions. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where all students can feel engaged and empowered.

Enrichment and follow-up

  • Evaluate the impact of the event by gathering feedback from teachers, students, and volunteers involved. This assessment can help measure the effectiveness of the playful learning approach and identify areas for improvement.
  • Consider providing ongoing support to the school and teachers to sustain and expand the learn through play initiative. This can include additional training sessions, resources, and mentoring opportunities.
  • Encourage teachers and students to continue incorporating playful learning methods in their regular classroom activities, fostering a lasting love for learning.

Celebration and recognition

  • Organize a closing ceremony or assembly to celebrate the achievements of the event and recognize the efforts of teachers, students, and volunteers.
  • Invite community leaders, parents, and local media to showcase the importance of playful learning and its impact on the students’ development.
  • Provide certificates or tokens of appreciation to the participants and publicly acknowledge the contributions of the Global Village Foundation, Nutrite, and all other supporters.
